Play Bass Rush Express

Bass Rush Express by Area Vegas keeps the fishing theme but introduces a different way of collecting prizes through its Rush Express mechanic. Instead of relying only on standard symbol combinations, much of the action revolves around special fish symbols that can unlock cash prizes, multipliers, or fixed jackpots when the right symbols land together. We found ourselves paying as much attention to the special feature symbols as the reels because a single spin can quickly move into one of the game's main mechanics.

Players who enjoy online slots built around collecting cash values will recognise some familiar ideas here, although Bass Rush Express gives them its own twist with coloured fish, two collector symbols, a random Pick Feature, and a Bonus Spins round where the Rush Express mechanic appears more often.

Bass Rush Express stays with a peaceful fishing setting, placing the reels beneath a calm lake during sunset while a fisherman waits in his small boat above the game grid. The background remains simple throughout the session, allowing the symbols and features to stay at the centre of the experience.

The premium symbols continue the fishing theme with a tackle box, fishing jacket, hat, beer cans, and fishing lure. Special symbols are much easier to identify, with the Wild displayed against a water splash, colourful Rush Express Fish standing out on the reels, and the Fisherman and Gold Fisherman appearing only on the fifth reel.

Animations are mainly reserved for the feature sequences. Whenever the Rush Express Feature is triggered, the coloured fish move into their own mini feature to reveal cash values before the final fish awards either a multiplier or one of the available jackpots. Although the presentation remains straightforward, these feature sequences help break up the regular gameplay without becoming difficult to follow.

The payout values below are based on an initial bet value of 1.

The Wild substitutes for every regular symbol except the Bonus, Rush Express, Fisherman, and Gold Fisherman symbols. Wilds can also form their own winning combinations.

Rush Express Feature

Fisherman and Gold Fisherman symbols appear only on reel 5. When either of them lands together with at least one Rush Express symbol, the feature begins. Every Rush Express Fish enters a mini feature where matching coloured fish award cash prizes. The final coloured fish can also award a multiplier or the corresponding Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand jackpot.

Fisherman

When the standard Fisherman lands during a Rush Express Feature, all visible Rush Express prizes are collected immediately.

Gold Fisherman

The Gold Fisherman works differently by collecting all Rush Express prizes into the bobber above the reels. The Golden Fish can then award the accumulated total up to ten times.

Bonus Spins

Landing 3 Bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 awards 10 Bonus Spins. Retriggering is not available, although the Rush Express Feature occurs more frequently throughout the feature.

Pick Feature

After any base game spin that does not trigger either Bonus Spins or the Rush Express Feature, Prize Fish symbols can randomly activate the Pick Feature. Matching three identical icons awards the corresponding jackpot.

Bass Rush Express is played on a 5 reel, 4 row layout with 20 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are formed by matching identical symbols from left to right, starting on the first reel, and only the highest paying combination is awarded for each symbol type.

While standard line wins remain part of every spin, much of the gameplay focuses on the special feature symbols. Rush Express symbols appear on reels 1 to 4, while both collector symbols are restricted to reel 5. Bringing these together activates the game's main collection mechanic, where coloured fish reveal prizes before the final fish determines whether an extra multiplier or jackpot is added.

Outside the main features, spins can also randomly lead into the Pick Feature, giving another opportunity to win one of the fixed jackpots without waiting for Bonus Spins. This balance between regular line wins and feature opportunities helps keep the gameplay varied from one spin to the next.

• Big Bass Splash 1000 also combines fishing symbols with collector mechanics and feature-driven prize opportunities.
• Big Bass Floats My Boat follows the familiar fishing formula while adding its own feature mechanics and cash collection opportunities.
• Big Bass Hold & Spinner keeps the focus on fish collection and feature-based rewards with its own take on the popular bass fishing formula.

Bass Rush Express puts far more emphasis on its collection mechanics than on ordinary line wins, and we think that gives the game its own spin within the fishing category. Rather than waiting only for Bonus Spins, there are several opportunities for special features to appear during the base game, particularly through the Rush Express and Pick Feature mechanics.

We also like that the game keeps its presentation clean. The reels are easy to read, the feature symbols are immediately recognisable, and the Rush Express sequence explains itself naturally once it begins. The addition of both the Fisherman and Gold Fisherman also creates different ways of collecting prizes, giving the feature a little more variety. For players who enjoy fishing themed slots with cash collection mechanics and fixed jackpots, Bass Rush Express offers several feature opportunities without making the overall gameplay difficult to understand.
