Fish Tales: Double Catch Max Scatter turns a peaceful fishing trip into a game built around valuable Fish symbols, collectors and two kinds of Scatter. Among fishing-themed releases, this one stands out through its Barrel Boost, Big Net modifier and Free Spins progress bars. We found that the base rules remain fairly traditional, while most of the game’s identity comes from collecting Fish and improving their potential values. 

This game takes place beside a clear mountain lake, with the reels fitted into a wooden fishing platform. Green hills, water lilies and large clouds fill the background, while rope, nets, hooks and a barrel of fishing floats decorate the playing area. The symbols continue the theme through a small boat, tackle box, life ring and four brightly coloured Fish designs. Free Spins switch to a night setting with a crescent moon, purple tones and fireflies glowing around the lake. Winning symbols flash, Fish brighten when collected and the fisherman Wild appears with a displayed collection value. The animations are simple, but they make the important feature events easy to follow. 

The table below lists payout multipliers that apply to the total bet. 

• Individual Fish may display collection multipliers of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x or 100x. These values are separate from their normal payline awards.

Barrel Boost

Big Net Modifier 

The Big Net is a base game modifier that collects the displayed values from every Fish currently on the screen. A single Fish may carry a value from 1x to 100x, so the result depends on both the number and values of the Fish caught in the net. Normal Fish line wins can still be evaluated separately when a valid combination appears. 

Free Spins 

Three, four or five regular Scatters, Max Scatters or a combination of both award 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins. During this round, each fisherman Wild collects the values from all Fish visible on the same spin. The background changes from a daytime lake to a moonlit setting, while two progress bars appear above and below the reels. 

Fish Multiplier Progress Bar 

Every Fish collected during Free Spins advances the upper progress bar. Collecting eight Fish applies a 2x multiplier to Fish values. The multiplier increases to 3x after 16 Fish, 5x after 24 and 10x after 32. This gives later Fish collections greater potential if the round lasts long enough to reach the higher stages. 

Extra Spins Progress Bar 

Fisherman Wild symbols fill a separate bar beneath the reels. Every fourth collected Wild adds five extra spins, with milestones at four, eight, twelve and sixteen Wilds. Reaching all four stages can therefore add as many as 20 spins to the feature. The additional spins also provide more opportunities to advance the Fish multiplier bar. 

Max Scatter Awards 

Max Scatters add an immediate multiplier when they appear on a triggering spin. One awards 100x the total bet, while two, three and four award 200x, 500x and 1,000x respectively. Five award 10,000x, which is also the game’s overall win limit. If the total potential win reaches that cap, the active feature ends and the capped amount is applied. 

This game features a 5 by 3 reel layout with 10 fixed paylines. Matching symbols must appear on consecutive reels from left to right, starting from the first reel. Only the highest qualifying combination on an individual line is counted, while wins from different paylines are added together. Unlike many modern online slots, Fish Tales: Double Catch Max Scatter does not use expanding reels, clusters or cascading symbols. The four Fish designs can contribute to line combinations and may display an additional multiplier value. The strongest part of Fish Tales: Double Catch Max Scatter is probably the way its features connect. Fish values matter in both the Big Net modifier and Free Spins, while collected Fish and Wilds can improve the remaining bonus round. The Max Scatter also gives the initial trigger more importance than a standard Free Spins entry. We would say that the main weakness is that several counters and symbol roles need to be understood at once. Fish have ordinary line payouts, displayed collection values and their own progress meter, which may feel busy during an early session. Still, the uncluttered artwork helps keep those elements readable. In our view, this game is best suited to those who prefer conventional paylines but want most of the payout potential concentrated in collection features and Free Spins.
