That setup changes the atmosphere of the table surprisingly quickly. A spin that looks fairly standard at first suddenly feels far more important once the active numbers appear. 

What we liked most is that the game still remembers it is roulette. Some modern live casino games push so hard into flashy presentations that the actual wheel almost feels secondary after a while. Gates of Olympus Roulette keeps the focus mostly where it should be, even with the larger effects and bonus mechanics happening around the table. 

The pacing also stays fairly comfortable during longer sessions. There is enough movement to stop the game from feeling flat, but not so much happening at once that the screen becomes difficult to follow. 

The whole presentation leans heavily into the Gates of Olympus theme straight away. Gold lighting surrounds the table, clouds and lightning effects move across the background, and the studio uses large marble visuals that match the mythology atmosphere Pragmatic Play already uses in the slot version. 

It could easily have become too much visually, especially once the Lucky Numbers and bonus effects start appearing before spins, but the table actually stays cleaner than expected. The wheel always remains central on screen, and the active numbers are highlighted clearly enough that the interface never feels messy. 

The camera work also stays fairly restrained compared to some live casino games now. Most of the attention remains fixed on the roulette wheel itself rather than constantly cutting between dramatic angles every few seconds. That probably helps the game more than anything because there is already enough energy coming from the feature system. 

We also liked that the presentation settles down naturally between stronger rounds. Not every spin arrives covered in effects, so the table still has moments where it feels closer to traditional roulette before the next set of active numbers appears.

Bonus Number 

Alongside the Lucky Numbers, one Bonus Number is also selected before the spin begins. If the wheel lands on that number while covered by a straight-up bet, a separate bonus round activates. 

That feature completely changes the pace of the game because the table briefly shifts away from normal roulette mechanics. 

Bonus Round 

The bonus round uses mechanics inspired by the original Gates of Olympus slot game. Cascading wins and multipliers become active during the feature, creating much larger payout potential than the regular roulette side of the table. 

The transition into the bonus round feels smoother than expected. It could have felt disconnected from the roulette gameplay entirely, but Pragmatic Play blends the two parts together fairly naturally.

We ended up liking Gates of Olympus Roulette more than we expected. Underneath the extra effects and bonus mechanics, it still feels recognisably like roulette, which honestly helps the game a lot during longer sessions. 

The Lucky Numbers and Bonus Number system give certain spins much more tension because there is always the feeling that something larger could suddenly happen. At the same time, the game never overloads the table constantly, so the stronger moments still stand out properly when they arrive. 

The mythology theme and glowing effects could easily have become tiring after a while, but the wheel and betting layout always stay easy to follow. 

Overall, Gates of Olympus Roulette feels best suited to players who already enjoy live roulette but want slightly more happening around the wheel without losing the feel of the original game.
