Greek mythology has been used in slots countless times, but Legend of Odysseus still manages to feel enjoyable thanks to its simple collect mechanics and clean presentation. Developed by Slammer Studios, this six reel slot mixes expanding ways to win with coin collection features, multiplier Wilds, and two different Bonus Games options. Among mythology-style slot games, it manages to not overcomplicate things. 

Legend of Odysseus keeps the classic mythology setting light and colourful rather than dramatic. The reels sit between large stone pillars overlooking a calm blue sea and distant Greek buildings. It feels more like a bright adventure story than an intense ancient battle, which suits the overall tone of the game quite well. 

The symbols are based around treasure and travel. Symbols include scrolls, harps, gemstones, treasure chests, and of course Odysseus himself as the main symbol to collect. The design is straightforward, but the symbols are big and clear, making them easy to spot while the reels spin. 

We also liked that the animations stay controlled. Some modern slots throw too much movement onto the screen at once, but here the collect feature and multiplier effects remain clear enough to follow without feeling messy.

Wild symbols substitute for regular symbols except Bonus, Odysseus Collect, and Cash Coin symbols. The wild symbols appear only on reels 2 to 6 during the base game and they will have a multiplier of 2,3x or 5x. 

The Bonus symbol can appear anywhere on any reel, but only during the base game and during Odysseus’ Wild Voyage Free Games 

Odysseus Collect 

When an Odysseus Collect symbol lands anywhere on the reels, the Collect Feature is triggered. During this feature, every Odysseus symbol collects all visible Cash Coin values currently shown on the reels. 

Gold Cash Coins can award values between 5x and 20x the bet. Silver Cash Coins award values between 2.5x and 4x, while bronze Cash Coins award values between 0.5x and 2x. 

Bonus Games 

If you get three or more Bonus symbols you will unlock the Bonus Games feature. Then you can pick between two Bonus Games: Odysseus Fortune Quest or Odysseus Wild Voyage.  

The more Bonus symbols you land, the more Bonus Spins you’ll earn. For example, in Odysseus’ Fortune Quest, getting 3, 4, 5, or 6 Bonus symbols will give you 2, 3, 5, or 7 spins. But if you choose Odysseus’ Wild Voyage, you’ll get even more spins, 8, 12, 20, or 30 for the same number of symbols.  

Odysseus’ Fortune Quest 

During Odysseus’ Fortune Quest you only see Odysseus Collect symbols and Cash Coins on the reels. Every spin guarantees at least one Odysseus Collect symbol. This Collect feature gives you a win every time. 

Odysseus’ Wild Voyage 

Odysseus’ Wild Voyage adds more unpredictability thanks to multiplier Wilds carrying 2x, 3x, or 5x values. If you get more than one of these Wilds in a single win their multipliers are multiplied together. More Bonus symbols can trigger extra Bonus Spins during the feature. The total number of Bonus Spins can reach 30 depending on how many Bonus symbols you land.  

Ante Bet 

The optional Ante Bet increases the total stake by 50% while also improving the chance of triggering the Bonus Games feature. 

The Legend of Odysseus game has 6 reels. There are 4096 possible winning combinations in the game. You get a win when the same symbols are next to each other on the reels starting from the reel on the left. 

What really caught our attention with the Legend of Odysseus is how simple it is to play and does not have a lot of rules. 

The two Bonus Games also help break up the gameplay nicely. Fortune Quest feels calmer and more controlled, while Wild Voyage has more unpredictability because of the multiplier combinations.

After playing Legend of Odysseus for a while, we came away feeling that its biggest strength is probably its simplicity. The collect mechanic appears often enough to keep spins interesting, and the two Bonus Games give players a choice between steadier payouts or bigger multiplier potential. 

We also appreciated how clean the slot feels visually. If there is one thing you have to know about this game before going into it; it’s that it’ll be simple.The bright Greek setting looks good without becoming overcrowded, and the features remain easy to follow even during busier moments. Wild Voyage ended up being our preferred feature because the multiplier Wilds can change a spin very quickly. 

The base game can occasionally feel a bit flat while waiting for the features to appear, but once the collect symbols start lining up with the coin values, the pace improves noticeably. Overall, this is a solid mythology slot that feels approachable without becoming repetitive too quickly.
