Play Bubble Wild

Bubble Wild by Pragmatic Play gives the usual fruit-machine symbols an unexpected bath-time makeover. It has five reels, three rows and 10 paylines, with 7s, BARs and fruit joined by a rubber duck. Then there are the bubbles, which are responsible for most of the game's extra prizes. 

Bubble Pop and Bubble Wild symbols can appear on all five reels. When at least six of them appear on the same spin, there's an instant prize, with larger amounts attached to higher numbers of bubbles. It's a simple idea and quite different from having a separate round after a trigger. Bubble Wild adds something unusual among online slots without making the basic reel setup complicated. 

At first glance, Bubble Wild could almost pass for a traditional fruit slot. There are purple, green and orange 7s, several types of BAR and familiar fruit symbols. Look a little closer and the bathroom theme becomes much more obvious. 

The BARs have been turned into bars of soap, bubbles float around the blue background and a yellow rubber duck has somehow ended up on the paytable too. Pink surrounds the reels and is also used for the Bubble Wild symbol. 

Bubble Pop is blue, so there's little chance of confusing the two special bubbles when they land. The design doesn't go much further than the bath and soap idea, but it gives the familiar symbols a different setting without covering the screen in unnecessary detail. 

The payout values below are based on a 1x total bet. 

Bubble Wild substitutes for the other symbols and can appear on any of the five reels. It also has its own payouts of 25x, 50x and 200x for three, four and five symbols. Bubble Pop can appear anywhere too, although its purpose is tied to the number of qualifying bubbles landing on a spin. 

Bubble Bonus 

Six bubbles are enough to award the first Bubble Bonus prize. They can be Bubble Pop symbols, Bubble Wilds or a combination of the two, and their positions don't need to follow one of the paylines. 

The first prize is 1x the total bet for six symbols. Seven are worth 2x, followed by 8x for eight, 25x for nine and 50x for 10. The amounts rise quite sharply after that: 11 symbols pay 150x, 12 pay 500x, 13 pay 1,000x and 14 pay 2,500x. Filling all 15 positions with qualifying bubbles gives the top standard Bubble Bonus amount of 5,000x. 

It's all settled on the original grid. The prize is awarded instantly once enough qualifying bubbles land.  

Bubble Wild Jackpot 

A full grid of Bubble Wilds has a different result. If exactly 15 Bubble Wild symbols appear, the Grand Jackpot pays 25,000x the total bet. 

Bubble Wild isn't restricted to this jackpot condition either. The same pink symbol substitutes for other symbols in ordinary payline wins and counts towards the Bubble Bonus whenever six or more qualifying bubbles are present.

Behind the Bubble Bonus is a fairly traditional five-reel, three-row setup. There are 10 selectable paylines and wins start on the leftmost reel, continuing across adjacent reels from left to right. 

Only the highest win on an individual payline is paid. Several paylines can win on the same spin, in which case those amounts are added together. Regular symbol wins are multiplied by the bet per line, while Bubble Bonus amounts use the total bet. 

Regular payline wins and the Bubble Bonus are both determined from the same grid. The regular symbols and Bubble Wild can form payline wins, while the game also counts how many Bubble Pop and Bubble Wild symbols have landed anywhere in view. The second part isn't tied to a line pattern: reaching six qualifying bubbles is what matters.

Bubble Wild doesn't have a huge collection of separate features. We spend most spins looking at a familiar 5x3 grid, and the 10-payline format feels closer to an older fruit machine than many feature-heavy slots. 

Then a few Bubble Pop or Bubble Wild symbols begin appearing. Six is the important number, and from there the prize rises according to how many bubbles occupy the grid. We prefer that direct approach here because it fits the rest of the game, nothing needs to open or move to another screen before we know what the bubbles have produced. 

The Bubble Wild has more than one purpose without making the game complicated. It can substitute in regular wins, count towards the Bubble Bonus and, if all 15 positions contain Bubble Wilds, award the 25,000x Grand Jackpot. There isn't much else competing with those mechanics. Bubble Wild is essentially a traditional payline slot with one bubble-counting idea running through it, and that's really what defines the game.
